Celebrating Leadership: Becky Morris, Woman of Distinction

At CASA of McHenry County, we are proud to celebrate our Executive Director, Becky Morris, as one of Shaw Media’s 2026 Women of Distinction—an honor that reflects not only her professional achievements, but the heart, vision, and leadership she brings to our organization and community every day.

Since becoming Executive Director in 2021, Becky has helped CASA grow in both impact and awareness. She has strengthened our organization, expanded our presence across McHenry County, and helped shape our events into powerful, community-centered experiences that connect people to CASA’s mission in meaningful ways.

But what truly makes Becky’s leadership special is the way she leads people.

We describe her as patient, welcoming, supportive, and deeply trusted. She makes people feel comfortable, even when there are different perspectives in the room. She values staff ideas and opinions, genuinely cares about both the CASA mission and the people carrying it forward, and is always looking for ways to make CASA stronger.

Becky is also known for pushing us to stretch beyond what has become the status quo. She is always encouraging something new—new ideas, new approaches, new ways to grow. She challenges us in the best way, not by asking us to be someone we are not, but by helping us see what we are capable of becoming.

And if you know Becky, you know she loves a good game.

Board games, staff games, event games—anything with a little friendly competition and fun is right up her alley. Her silliness and humor are part of what make our workplace feel connected and human. She gets things done, but she also makes sure there is laughter along the way.

She is also a gifted storyteller. Whether she is sharing CASA’s mission from the stage at one of our galas or telling the latest weekend story in the office, Becky has a way of drawing people in. She makes people feel the heart behind the work.

Beyond CASA, Becky continues to serve the community as a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County as well as volunteering with her daughter at several other nonprofits. Her belief in showing up for others is not just professional—it is personal.

Becky is a champion and cheerleader for women. She wants the women around her to succeed, to be heard, and to grow. She leads with equity, humility, strength, and heart.

We are grateful for her leadership, proud to work alongside her, and thrilled to celebrate this well-deserved recognition.

Congratulations, Becky!
