Help Brighten a Child’s Holiday

CASA’s Annual Gift Drive Is Underway!

Every Holiday season, CASA of McHenry County’s Program Team transforms our office into a joyful hub of giving. Together with our community, we work to make sure every child we serve feels seen, valued, and remembered during the holidays.

Each year, businesses, organizations, classrooms, families, and community clubs join us in fulfilling the holiday wishes of the children in foster care—children who have already experienced more change and uncertainty than any child should.

This year, CASA is serving 267 children, and our goal is to provide three gifts for each child. Every child creates a wish list with three wants and three needs—giving our community the chance to shop from the heart for the items that will mean the most.

From cozy pajamas and art supplies to new shoes or a favorite toy, these gifts bring more than holiday cheer. They remind our kids that they are cared for, supported, and surrounded by a community that believes in them.

If your family, workplace, classroom, or club would like to make the season brighter for a CASA child, we’d love to have you join us!

💫 How You Can Help

  • Adopt a child’s wish list: CASA will provide a list of three “wants” and three “needs.”
*you can adopt siblings or more than one child.
  • Shop and drop: Purchase the gifts, wrap them if you’d like, and deliver them to the CASA office by the designated date.
  • Donate gift cards: Perfect for our older youth who love the independence of choosing something special.
  • Spread the word: Encourage your friends, coworkers, or book club to join the effort.

Together, we can make sure every CASA child experiences the magic, comfort, and joy of the holiday season.

If you’re interested in participating, please contact our Program Director, Stacy at stacy@casamchenrycounty.org at to be matched with a child’s wish list.

Let’s make this holiday one filled with hope, joy, and community love — one child, one gift, one story at a time.
